Brian D. Parsons has been an active paranormal investigator since 1996 with his group, the Ohio Paranormal Investigation Network (http://ghosthelp.net). During those years he also turned his attention to other anomalous fields and studied under the M.U.F.O.N. Field Investigator’s Manual in 2000 becoming a Field Investigator Trainee. Since then he has also moved into the cryptid field working with the Sasquatch Research Initiative investigating claims of strange animal sightings in the state of Ohio.
Brian feels that investigating other areas of anomalous sightings has helped bring balance to his skills and perspectives. He feels strongly about teaching his knowledge as well as continual learning from the paranormal field and has become the Ohio Director for ParaNexus, a global professional association of various professionals and enthusiasts focusing on the study of anomalous and psychical phenomena.
He is also active with his monthly newscast of the Paranormal News Insider (http://paranewsinsider.com) discussing the news and upcoming conferences and conventions within the Grand Dark Conspiracy (http://www.granddarkconspiracy.com) pod cast. Paranewsinsider.com is also his home for his blog (http://paranewsinsider.blogspot.com), which is also serves as his home page as the Ohio Representative for Crypto Squad USA, the American branch of the Centre for Fortean Zoology.
Brian has written two books, “Handbook for the Amateur Paranormal Investigator or Ghost Hunter: How to Become a Successful Paranormal Group” as well as a companion book, “Betty’s Ghost: A Guide to Paranormal Investigation” (both available at http://www.lulu.com/ghosthelp as well as other online book retailers). These efforts are the first, in hopefully a series, geared at lowering the learning curve and the turnover rate as well as bringing the knowledge base of the emerging groups to a higher level.
He resides in Twinsburg, Ohio with his wife, Amy.
